Each morning we wake up we are presented with the opportunity to begin making positive changes to our lives. What better way to “start fresh” than with a delicious, vibrant, nutrient packed raw breakfast?
Several years ago I awoke to uncomfortable stomach pain, extreme tiredness, and just an overall lack of motivation for the day ahead of me. Finally, I realized there must be a way to wake up feeling refreshed and happy every morning. When I took a long hard look at my habits, I realized the foods I was sharing with my body were actually energy suckers! After educating myself on the many benefits of consuming raw foods, I decided to give it a try on a smaller scale. I started by eliminating processed foods from my diet, became vegetarian, and began eating one fully raw meal a day, in my case I chose breakfast.
The results? Well, lets just say I got exactly what I was looking for. I wake up every day feeling amazing. My stomach is always at ease, I feel happy, refreshed, energized, and ready to take on my day. I once heard someone say “you never realize how good you can feel until you do”. This quote is one that really resonated deeply with me, and still does to this day.
Since then, I have become passionate with my food! I love sharing my daily food art creations with my followers on @The_Wholesome_Bowl on Instagram, and I have created an ebook with some of my favorite recipes. Using food as a language, I hope to encourage people to open their eyes to the world of delicious and nutrient packed foods that not only help sustain a healthy body, but also a healthy world.
