• 4 large eggs
  • 2 Cups purchased eggnog
  • 1 Tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 6 Slices stale bread, 1-inch thick
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 Cup from 1 package (6 ounces) Driscoll's Blackberries
  • 1/4 Cup from 1 package (6 ounces) Driscoll's Raspberries
  • 1-2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1/8 Tsp. freshly ground nutmeg
  1. CRACK 4 large eggs into a medium bowl and WHISK thoroughly.
  2. ADD 2 cups purchased eggnog.
  3. ADD 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and ADD 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
  4. WHISK to combine and SET ASIDE egg mixture.
  5. PLACE 6 slices stale bread into a large, shallow baking dish in a single layer.
  6. POUR egg mixture over bread slices and FLIP bread slices once to COAT both sides.
  7. COVER baking dish with plastic wrap and REFRIGERATE overnight.
  8. PREHEAT a large skillet over medium heat.
  9. ADD 2 tablespoons unsalted butter and ALLOW butter to melt and SWIRL evenly over bottom of pan.
  10. FRY bread slices about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. FLIP bread slices and FRY about 2 minutes until golden brown.
  12. REMOVE bread slices from skillet.
  13. CUT OFF bottom corners from bread slices at an angle to FORM v-shapes.
  14. PLACE bread slices onto a serving platter and CREATE a Christmas tree by LAYERING bread slices v-side upward. 
  15. ARRANGE 4 blackberries at bottom of tree to form a tree trunk.
  16. ARRANGE 7 raspberries at top of tree to form a star.
  17. CREATE a garland of berries by alternating raspberries and blackberries around tree.
  18. SPRINKLE 1 – 2 tablespoons powdered sugar over French toast.
  19. SPRINKLE 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg over French toast.
  20. SERVE immediately.
