About the Opportunity

The Manager of Data Services is a member of Driscoll’s Information Technology Leadership Team reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Services. This position will lead and support a team of direct reports in the design, implementation and support of global enterprise data technologies. This person will ensure operations and deliverables of data processing and data management are delivered in alignment to the global business strategy. This leadership position requires the ability to work effectively with global teams, manage multiple initiatives, build/maintain strong relationships and facilitate positive and solution-oriented discussions with key cross functional business stakeholders, understand supporting systems, and organizational and compliance requirements across multiple geographies globally. The primary goal of this role is to drive the comprehensive build-out of a global data services delivery program that will be leveraged to support Driscoll’s long-term growth objectives. This position will direct the efforts of a global enterprise development, implementation and support organization that is a combination of internal employees and multiple partnerships with global systems vendors. The support team is distributed across multiple geographic locations including North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia/Pacific, and South America. As the Manager of Data Services, this position will be the cornerstone ensuring that our entire enterprise data platform computing environment runs smoothly, efficiently and economically across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team to deliver high-quality data solutions and services.
• Be responsible for coordinating efforts across multiple teams, such as Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Category Merchants, and Sales. From design and conceptualization through to early pilot and wide-scale deployment, you will oversee technical execution and business operations
• Guarantee the technical aspects of system and data integration by providing necessary documentation and guidance.
• Improve Internal tools by gathering and providing feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and our Sales teams.
• Design effective launch programs to ensure that internal tools are usable and serviceable before broad-scale deployment.
• Ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
• Support the Operational Reporting Team in the production of various internal reports
• Interpret & analyze metrics to create meaningful dashboards & reporting both at a detailed and executive level. Document the process and share knowledge with the team.
• Develop, implement, and optimize data management processes to design reporting and analytics solutions.
• Identify opportunities to phase out dependencies on legacy databases, processes, and reporting tools. Comme up with the plan of implementation and train the team technically.
• Monitor and manage business system data interfaces, files, integrity, and security
• Assist with design, testing, and maintenance of data warehouse along with helping the team technically and if required involved in the architecture discussion.
• Develop, implement, and support AWS data lake technology. Experience with SPARK will be extra advantage.
• Responsible of Performance tuning of data warehouse running on-premise or AWS Cloud - Redshift. Manage the Redshift and come up with the performance improvement plan with regular review.
• Manage AI-powered data platforms and pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration, governance, and scalable service delivery.
• Lead AI-driven data services to optimize data availability, quality, and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
• Interact well with multiple priorities in an extremely dynamic environment, initiating necessary tasks and ensuring complete follow-up
• Develop new functionality on our existing database and provide development support and assistance for escalations and issues
• Ensure the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials
• Responsible for managing activities in collaboration with the data services department to accomplish planned growth.
• Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Analytics or related field
• 8+ years’ hands-on Business Intelligence experience with an emphasis on analytical and/or reporting tools.
• Manage AI-powered data platforms and pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration, governance, and scalable service delivery.
• 3-5 years’ experience managing and developing people
• 3+ years of hands-on Experience working on AWS Glue, SPARK-SQL, Python and Redshift.
• 2+ years designing and implementing highly performant data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Apache Spark and AWS Databricks.
• Advanced / Statistical Analytics experience a plus
• 2-3 years of work in BI tools like Tableau, SSIS, SSRS, ETL
• Strong proficiency in writing AWS Glue Jobs, SPARK-SQL and Python.
• Strong proficiency with AWS technologies like S3, EC2, CloudWatch, Lambda, Redshift, DMS, and RDS. 
• Preferable experience with data bricks integrated with AWS cloud. Having experience with data bricks cluster configuration is an extra advantage.
• Preferable knowledge of the Tableau system and hands-on experience is advantage.
• Experience in writing Webhook/APIs to pull and push the data, is an extra advantage.
• Experience in Databricks. Designing and implementing highly performant data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Apache Spark and AWS Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL/MySQL queries as per business requirement. Experience with Analytical queries with Tableau and other analytical tools will be an extra advantage.
• Working in BI tools like Tableau, SSIS, SSRS, ETL and have great experience to troubleshoot any issues related.
• 2+ years of experience working on AI concepts and managing AI-powered data platforms and pipelines.

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

Salary Range estimated for the Accountant: $112,000 to 169, 358 USD.
