About the Opportunity

Driscoll’s is seeking an Associate Digital Marketing Manager of Community Management to help grow and protect the world’s most beloved berry brand. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Marketing, this role plays a vital part in building brand awareness, deepening consumer affinity, and expanding demand among our core berry fans. As the frontline voice of Driscoll’s across digital channels, this individual will lead our online community engagement strategy and manage the day-to-day relationship with our Consumer Relations agency. Equal parts community builder and problem-solver, the ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and highly attuned to consumer sentiment—capable of fostering meaningful connections and guiding real-time responses during moments of celebration or crisis. This role is essential in driving traffic to Driscolls.com and ensuring our values shine through every consumer touchpoint.

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT: Engage with Driscoll’s passionate consumer base across all touchpoints, including social, call center, and chat. Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure that message mapping for consumer responses is up to date, communicate updated messaging with community management partners, and develop benchmarks to ensure that Driscoll’s is perceived as highly responsive by consumers. Leverage social listening tools to gauge consumer conversations across a range of topics and share actional insights with the team. Support PR efforts as needed.  

ISSUES MANAGEMENT: The produce industry is sometimes confronted with situations that require urgent action and response (e.g. natural disasters, food recalls, etc). This role is responsible for setting up social listening boards to stay on the pulse of consumer sentiment and questions, monitoring social media for related DMs and tags, developing messages to respond to consumers across social media and keeping key stakeholders informed of new developments. This may require night and weekend availability depending on when the issue occurs.
 

CRM LEADERSHIP: Manage Driscoll’s Consumer Relations agency and oversee the migration of Driscoll’s Consumer database to a newly selected CRM platform. Ensure the knowledge base is populated with up-to-date information that will enable our agents to accurately represent Driscoll’s. Align with key stakeholders within Marketing, QA, Food Safety, and others to identify the appropriate tags for consumer contacts so that information can be easily referenced and mined for insights.

DIGITAL INFLUENCER STRATEGY: Oversee the influencer partnership program, strategy, and day-to-day tactics, to ensure they are aligned with and deliver upon business goals. Stay on the pulse with culture, entertainment, and lifestyle trends that influence social media. Proactively search for new opportunities that will deliver on brand awareness and consideration with Driscoll's audience that is both impactful and saleable.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS: Plan, activate, and manage the Driscoll’s Sweepstakes Programs to drive engagement with Driscoll’s online communities. Research, plan and develop new engagement programs that reach new consumers and support digital marketing goals. Seek and manage strategic brand collaborations.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Collaborate within the Brand Marketing team and cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of Driscoll's digital performance. Lead creative agencies to ensure projects are aligned with communication strategy, time, and budget.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a set of GL codes within the Brand Marketing budget
  • Follow Company policies and practices while representing Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, governmental agencies, growers, customers, etc.
  • Ensure the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • B.A. or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field required

  • 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Corporate Communications or Public Relations

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Insurgent Attitude and can adapt to change with speed, nimbleness, and responsiveness

  • Experience managing agency and/or freelancer partnerships with minimal supervision

  • California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under a company-sponsored vehicle insurance program are also required

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to work with key stakeholders and manage multiple projects across the enterprise

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 

 

Salary Range estimated for Associate Digital Marketing Manager: $63,500 - $89,000 USD.
