The Driscoll’s Giving Program Administrator will play a vital role on our Community & Public Affairs team, supporting the operations of a global philanthropic program that enriches the lives of our berry-growing communities and empowers employees to pursue their passions for giving back. This is more than an administrative role—you'll be the engine behind our charitable fund disbursements, data management, and partner support, ensuring every dollar and volunteer hour is accounted for and aligned with our mission. By managing our giving platforms and collaborating across departments and cultures, you’ll help turn strategic generosity into real-world impact.

Responsibilities

The Driscoll’s Giving Program Administrator is responsible for ensuring the program is dispersing its funds in a timely manner while also documenting the use of these resources. The position’s main responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in the financial management of Driscoll’s Charitable Funds. The Admin will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely disbursement of charitable funds. The Position will manage the dispersal of volunteer and donation matching funds based on post-project survey responses. The Admin will also support the regional Driscoll’s Giving Admins in dispersing funds for the approved Sponsorships and Grants for their Districts.

  • Serve as Master Administrator for Driscoll’s online giving management platforms (Grants by Benevity) to ensure the prompt processing of funding requests and compliance with program policies and procedures. The position will ensure that the relevant parties review and approve funding requests. The Admin will follow up on post-project survey to ensure timely submission of the after-action reports. The position will also support partner nonprofits register with our online platform provider (Benevity) and become grantees of the Driscoll's Charitable Fund administered by the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County.

  • Help organize trainings and convenings of employees active in Driscoll’s Giving program. The Admin will help coordinate the organization of trainings, convenings and peer-to-peer exchanges related to Charitable giving, including booking venues, arranging meals, preparing materials and coordinating travel.

  • Support the operations of the broader Driscoll's Giving Program. The Admin will also provide critical administrative and operational support for the Driscoll's Giving Program overall. This support includes answering emails and inquiries about Driscoll's Giving Program, maintaining the internal website and ensuring seamless continuity in Driscoll's Sponsorships and Grantmaking. The Admin will also manage the Driscoll’s Giving document management system.

  • Support US-based employees access the Individual Employee Donation Match and Volunteerism program, including assisting employees to use Driscoll's online giving and volunteerism platform (Spark by Benevity). The Giving Admin will serve a “help desk” function to answer employee questions about the program, submission of funding requests. The Specialist will work with AskHR to ensure that employees’ Frequently Asked Questions available to AskHR staff are complete and current.

  • Refine and update Driscoll’s online giving management platform (Grants by Benevity) to reflect the company's and Program's ongoing evolution and growth. The Admin will support the systematic updating of the various funding requests, post-project surveys and the Management Interface. This refining of these system involves the Admin coordination of the cataloging of all needed changes and perform subsequent Quality Assurance to ensure implementation and functionality of each update to the platform.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English, proficiency in Spanish plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience working within a highly matrixed organization

  • A basic understanding of accounting and financial management practices

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data management

  • Advanced PowerPoint presentations and ability to create dynamic, clear and effective presentations.

  • Intermediary knowledge of other MS Office applications (e.g., Outlook)

  • Solid working knowledge of office processes and workplace policy

  • Some experience with event planning and related logistics

  • Resourceful with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills

  • Adaptable, flexible, dependable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent time management skills with experience handling multiple projects.

  • A client-centric work style and service provider mindset.

  • A track record of learning new skills and acquiring knowledge is essential.

  • Strong work ethic and a genuine desire to contribute to the community.

  • An ability to cope with and withstand adversity while still maintaining a sense of humor.

  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

  • Flexibility in schedules based on operational needs is required.

Preferred Qualifications & Leadership Competencies

  • Experience with grant management or financial accounting system preferred.

  • An intermediate to advanced understanding of basic accounting and financial management

  • Experience with planning and executing events (e.g., trainings, meetings, conferences)

  • Knowledge of SharePoint or similar document management systems

  • Event planning experience

Compensation & Benefits: 
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 
 
Salary Range estimated for the Charitable Giving Administrator: $60,500 to $90,450 USD.
