About the Opportunity

The Master Data Management Business Analyst will be part of the enterprise Master Data Governance organization responsible for Master Data strategy and ongoing governance, in addition to being part of the master data workstream supporting global Oracle ERP implementation. This role will work closely with cross functional teams and IS to design processes for data management processes as needed and will have significant interaction with Business stakeholders. This position will work independently to identify data quality issues and underlying root causes and lead the development of solutions to solve issues related to Item, Customer, Supplier and other master data set up. Actively participate in team and project meetings, and lead cross-functional working sessions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other parts of Master Data CoE (Center of Excellence) team and business stakeholders to identify areas requiring remediation, standardization, or changes to existing processes.
  • Root cause analysis to understand master data related issues (impacting day to day operations as well as ERP data conversion and testing); conduct impact analysis of data related changes and recommend remediation approaches.
  • Assist in determining and documenting future state master data maintenance processes. Participate in global ERP implementation meetings as an enterprise master data governance representative as needed. 
  • Leverage and share data management best practices to facilitate cross-functional data design sessions with the intent of driving standardization of attributes and harmonization of values.
  • Manage Data Quality Reporting: develop and monitor data quality metrics; share information with stakeholders; identify areas for improvement and help to implement suggested improvements. Increase organizational awareness of data quality and drive adoption of data controls. 
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure systematic solutions; facilitate cross-functional and cross-BU sessions to drive enterprise wide solutions for key master data domains (Item, Customer, Supplier, Grower, Warehouse, etc.).
  • Documentation and education for Master Data process changes as part of ERP and other system implementations; educate stakeholders and data stewards on standard processes and business intent of the data itself.
  • Support Master Data ‘stewards for all business units to ensure consistent processes for master data creation and maintenance. Identify topics requiring attention and potential standardization across BUs and functions (phase 2+)

Compensation & Benefits: 
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 
 
Salary Range estimated for the MDM Business Analyst: $73,813 to $110,350 USD.
