Shelf Life of Strawberries
FRESH FOR UP TO FIVE DAYS
HOW TO STORE STRAWBERRIES
Refrigerate your unwashed strawberries in their original container for up to five days. Keep them as dry as possible. Also, strawberries taste best at room temperature, so remove them an hour or two before you plan on eating them.
HOW TO CLEAN STRAWBERRIES
Right before you eat them, rinse your strawberries under cool water and remove the leaves and stems.
HOW TO FREEZE STRAWBERRIES
If you don't plan on using your strawberries within five days, wash them, gently pat them dry, remove their leaves and soft spots, then freeze them. To prevent your strawberries from sticking together when frozen, freeze them individually on a wax paper lined baking sheet before transferring them into a freezer-safe container.
