Valentine's Day Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pops

Fresh chocolate-dipped strawberries are a timeless way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Hand-dipping is easy, fun, and delicious! We recommend using high quality chocolate with cocoa butter for best results.

Ingredients
- 3 Ounces white chocolate
- 3 Ounces dark chocolate
- 1 Package (16 ounces) Driscoll's Strawberries
- 1 Package bamboo skewers
- Candy heart sprinkles, candy red sprinkles, candy white sprinkles
- Pink, or red striped, or red polka-dotted drinking straws
Directions
Stovetop melted chocolate
- POUR about a cupful of water into a small saucepan.
- HEAT water over low heat just until gently simmering.
- PLACE a small heatproof bowl onto saucepan so bowl rests on saucepan edges and water does not touch bottom of bowl.
- PLACE 3 ounces white chocolate or 3 ounces dark chocolate into bowl. Do not allow any water to contact chocolate.
- ALLOW chocolate to melt slowly and STIR occasionally until chocolate is completely smooth.
- REPEAT in separate bowl with remaining chocolate type.
Microwave melted chocolate
- PLACE 3 ounce white chocolate or 3 ounces dark chocolate into a small heatproof bowl.
- PLACE bowl into microwave.
- SET microwave power to medium and COOK 30 seconds.
- STIR chocolate.
- SET microwave power to medium and COOK 20 – 30 seconds.
- STIR chocolate.
Dipping and decorating
- LINE a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- SKEWER each strawberry through top with a bamboo skewer.
- PAT DRY strawberries with a paper towel.
- HOLD one bamboo skewer in fingertips and DIP about 3/4 of strawberry into melted white chocolate or dark chocolate. ALLOW some red strawberry to remain visible.
- SWIRL and TILT strawberry until evenly coated.
- SHAKE gently to remove excess chocolate.
- PLACE dipped strawberry onto prepared baking sheet.
- CONTINUE with remaining strawberries and DIP half in white chocolate and DIP half in dark chocolate.
- ALLOW chocolate to set completely on dipped strawberries, 20 – 30 minutes.
- REWARM melted chocolate as needed.
- DIP about 1/4 of tip of one strawberry into opposite chocolate type and SHAKE gently to remove excess chocolate.
- PLACE strawberry onto prepared baking sheet.
- CONTINUE with remaining strawberries.
- ALLOW chocolate to set completely on dipped strawberries, 20 – 30 minutes.
- SLIDE fancy drinking straws over bamboo skewers and PUSH straws gently into strawberry bases.
- ADORN straws with messages of love composed to those who bring joy to your heart.
- SERVE immediately or STORE overnight in refrigerator until needed.
