Strawberry Milk

That pink powder drink you remember from when you were a kid is all grown up and made from fresh, juicy strawberries. It’s easy to make, and you’ll taste the difference between homemade and from-powder right away.

Ingredients
- 1/2 of a 16-ounce package Driscoll’s Strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1/4 Cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 Cup water
- 2 Cups whole milk (or milk of choice)
- Ice
Directions
- PLACE strawberries into a small saucepan.
- ADD 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water.
- BRING to a boil.
- SIMMER, and STIR occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until liquid is reduced and strawberries are broken down.
- PRESS strawberries through a fine mesh strainer to COLLECT strawberry syrup.
- DISCARD strawberry solids or SAVE for future uses such as in yogurt.
- ALLOW syrup to cool slightly then STIR into 2 cups milk.
- DIVIDE strawberry milk between two tumblers.
- ADD ice as desired.
- GARNISH with additional strawberries as desired.
- SERVE immediately or store in your refrigerator to enjoy later.
