Strawberry Cocktails

Blended strawberry-lime ice cubes are a great way to flavor a cocktail. Delicious with sweet wine, extra cubes can be used in other drinks such as lemonade, iced tea, or sparkling wine.

Ingredients
- 1 Package package (16 ounces) Driscoll's Strawberries
- 1/2 Cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 Cup sugar
- Lemon-lime soda, chilled
- Gewurtztraminer or Riesling wine, chilled
- Lime slices and additional strawberries
Directions
- HULL 1 package (16 ounces) strawberries and PLACE into a blender.
- ADD 1/2 cup fresh lime juice and 1/4 cup sugar.
- PUREE until smooth and POUR mixture into 2 ice cube trays.
- FREEZE 2 – 4 hours or until frozen solid.
- PLACE 3 – 4 strawberry cubes into each cocktail glass. (PLACE any leftover strawberry cubes into a freezer bag and FREEZE for later use in soda, seltzer, or lemonade.)
- TOP with equal parts lemon-lime soda and choice of wine.
- GARNISH with a lime slice and fresh strawberry.
- SERVE with a stir-stick.
- Lighten up the recipe by replacing the sugar and soda with an equivalent amount of sugar substitute and diet soda.
