Ingredients
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup brandy (or bourbon)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 package Driscoll's blackberries
- Zest from 1 orange + orange slices
- 4 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise
- Rosemary sprigs (optional for garnish)
Directions
- COMBINE red wine, apple cider, brandy, maple syrup, Driscoll's blackberries, orange zest, orange slices, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and star anise in a medium pot.
- HEAT on low for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Do not allow the mixture to boil.)
- REMOVE from heat and DISCARD spices.
- SERVE warm, garnished with an orange slice and a fresh blackberry.
- ADD a rosemary sprig for a festive touch (optional).
