About the Opportunity

This role will be an on-site position located in Watsonville, CA. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the oversight of all US and Canada accounts payable and related activities, ensuring the timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices in compliance with required internal controls and statutory regulations and reporting. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of related policies and procedures, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency while providing the right level of support to the business. The Accounts Payable Manager serves in a leadership capacity and will mentor and develop associates, while interacting with employees at all levels throughout the company.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build out framework for accounts payable processes, including standardization, governance, and maintenance of process flows, data maps, and standard definitions for key process controls
• Assist to ensure integrity of vendor master data
• Ensure payments are made accurately and timely, in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with third-party contractors for the preparation of annual IRS Form 1099 reporting and other similarly supported activities
• Guide and support projects and change management initiatives with stakeholders, as assigned by manager
• Partner with Global and US Controllership to ensure adherence to accounting policies and to support internal and external audit requests
• Monitor days of payments outstanding (DPO) and vendor liability aging reports.
• Ensure service level agreements (SLA’s) related to vendor invoice payments are developed, monitored, updated and communicated effectively.
• Develop and maintain monthly KPIs for tracking team and individual performance
• Act as process expert via proficient understanding of accounts payable technology solutions including but not limited to accounts payable automation, data import, data management, workflow, and ERP payment systems
• Responsible for managing activities in collaboration with business, controllership and treasury to ensure end-to-end Source-to-Pay process flow
• Contributes to the Business Segment’s people’s priorities and objectives regarding people leader effectiveness, engaged employees, and enabling others to perform.
• Recruit, onboard, and coach staff to ensure robust learning and career development consistent with the Company’s values and rapidly globalizing profile.
• Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.
• Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience using ERP systems such as Oracle, Dynamics AX and SAP.
• 7 + years of experience with end-to-end processes and accounting in an integrated system/ERP system.
• 3+ years’ experience as a People Manager in Accounts payable.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced).
• Working experience in basic general accounting/finance, including internal controls, cash flow forecasting, days payables outstanding, and subledger reconciliations.
• Ability to effectively develop and enforce policies and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

Yearly salary range estimated for this role is: $ 83,370 - $114,634 USD. Based on experience and requirements.
