We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global R&D Finance team. This is a high impact role supporting financial planning and analysis for our R&D operations in South America. The individual will collaborate with global stakeholders to drive insights, improve processes, and influence decision-making across Global R&D. Responsibilities

•    Support Accounting with month-end and year-end close activities, provide monthly financial reporting analysis including explanations and insights of key drivers of variability. 
•    Develop and enhance financial models that track and analyze key metrics that impact Global R&D’s financial performance and resource allocations. 
•    Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and perform analysis on Capex and Opex projects, ensuring financial alignment with strategic goals. 
•    Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support executive decision-making. 
•    Support mid-year Forecast, Annual budget, and long-term strategic planning activities on Headcount, Opex, and Capex for Global R&D operations. 
•    Ensure Global R&D financial activities in compliance with internal policies, controls, and standard operating procedures.
•    Consistently and proactively drive continuous improvements to streamline reporting and analytical processes. 
•    Represent Driscoll’s professionally in all internal and external engagements. 
•    Other responsibilities as assigned 
•    Domestic and international travel might be up to 10%

Candidate Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. (MBA/CPA preferred)
•    5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or analytics
•    Requires strong command of MX GAAP, familiar with US GAAP, management accounting, financial and managerial reporting principles
•    Requires strong analytical and problem solving abilities, comfortable working with large data sets to perform data analysis, data visualization, and financial modeling 
•    Requires excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point) 
•    Requires hands-on experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Tableau or other BI analytics tools 
•    Preferred experience with intercompany transactions and consolidations 
•    Preferred hands-on experience with using programming languages (Python, SQL,…) for data analytics and financial modelling 
•    Strong collaboration, interpersonal communication skills, and team spirit 
•    Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced global environment 
•    Preferred experience in agriculture, life sciences or research and development business units 
•    Spanish and English language skills required 
•    Ability to travel domestically and internationally 

Please Note: This position can be located in either Ciudad Guzman, or Guadalajara, Mexico, with travel to research test plots as needed.
