About the Opportunity

As a Financial Accountant at Driscoll’s, you will be part of the Reporting and Compliance team within our Finance department. You will contribute to the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, analysis, and statutory accounting for our European entities. This role plays a key part in group consolidation, financial reporting, and payroll compliance. You will report to the Local European Controller and work closely with cross-functional teams across Europe and the U.S., gaining valuable insights into both local and global finance operations.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements (local and consolidated level)

• Maintain ownership of balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations

• Reconcile subledgers and analyze variances

• Support preparation of annual statutory financial statements

• Liaise with external auditors for year-end audit processes

• Contribute to periodic reporting such as cash flow, DSO, and transfer pricing

Payroll & Compliance

• Support monthly payroll processing in close collaboration with HR, payroll providers, and the global compensation team

• Ensure compliance with Dutch payroll regulations and timely filings

• Support tax, VAT, and statutory reporting compliance

Projects & Systems

• Participate in cross-functional and international finance projects

• Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system

Candidate Profile

Education & Knowledge

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance (HBO/WO level)

• Good understanding of Dutch payroll processes and reporting requirements

Experience

• At least 1 year of industry experience in a similar accounting role

• Solid understanding of Dutch payroll including pension and benefits

• Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Advanced Excel skills; proficient in MS Office

• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus

• Proactive and service-oriented mindset

• Accurate, detail-focused, and critical thinker
