About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Production Intern for our upcoming season. As a Production Intern, you will support our District Production team across strawberries and blackberries. In this internship, you will gain experience mapping ranches using Driscoll’s GIS program, crop forecasting and field data collection. This position is best suited for someone who desires hands-on experience in agriculture production in the mixed berry category and has a strong interest in sustainable farming practices. Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ranch mapping and GIS data management 
• Crop forecast data collection
• Assist District Production team with field inspections
• Participate in production meetings to identify and discuss goal and challenges
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a must

Candidate Profile

• Currently pursuing a degree (A.S./B.S.)/career in Agriculture Business, Biology or Applied Science
• Relevant college coursework in horticulture, biology, applied science, and  entomology preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications
• Self-starter and independent
• Able to work in field conditions
• Able to travel to production sites independently 

Compensation
The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

The hourly range estimated for this internship is: Freshman to recent grad: $18-$22
