About the Opportunity

The Sr. Application Developer – Finance will manage all technical aspects of software development projects providing technical leadership to internal and external development teams, serve on various project committees reporting projects’ progress and provide technical guidance to projects’ team members, managers, and internal customers. This role will be responsible for all project deliverables from the technical standpoint with an emphasis on Finance area: systems technical requirements, architecture, design, coding, and will help develop processes for and support testing and deployment and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and deliver products that delight customers with scalable and maintainable code under the hood using Oracle Fusion Application technologies with specialization in Finance and related area.
• Supervise a technical team of varying functions and abilities.  Provide technical leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and effectively lead team members.
• Ensure consistent process and provide technical guidance during business requirements and high and detailed technical specifications.
• Provide oversight, assistance, and guidance to development of the application security architecture supporting the applications.
• Provide oversight and guidance to the development of coding standards, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure quality through design reviews, code reviews and development of standards.
• Serve as a mentor to team members by demonstrating alternate techniques, reviewing code, and strengthening skills.
• Must be able to interact well with multiple priorities in an extremely dynamic environment, initiating necessary tasks and ensuring complete follow up.
• Research and recommend appropriate application development best practices, and tools.
• Develop new functionality on our existing software products and Provide development support and assistance for escalations and issues.
• Follow Company policies and practices while representing Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, governmental agencies, growers, customers, etc.
• Responsible for managing activities in collaboration with Information services, business, vendor and other third parties to accomplish goals, objectives and planned growth.
• Domestic and international travel required up to 25%.
• Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large.
• All other responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer science or related field.
• 8+ years work experience including experience with Oracle Application Technology Stack and 3+ years of Oracle Fusion Applications Technology Stack.
• 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory/lead role as a developer.
• Hands-on experience developing Real-time/ Enterprise scale applications with proven experience in finance modules, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Cash Management, Month end / quarter end close processes, bank reconciliation, ACH payments, EDI payments, Revenue Recognition, Receipt applications Finance Reporting, and other related finance functions.
• Experience implementing Oracle Fusion Applications with a focus on Finance modules
• Proven knowledge and experience developing custom business applications utilizing Oracle technology frame works including ADF and Fusion technologies. 
• Strong demonstrable development expertise in one or more of the following technologies:  version control and build systems; Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); Distributed application architecture; SQL Server/RDBMS/PL SQL, SQL *Plus, and NoSQL; Unit testing, and n-tiered development projects. .
• Strong development experience using agile development tools available under Oracle Fusion ERP cloud platform.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Capability and willingness to participate in software development/coding process on all levels if necessary – from simple development tasks to complex core framework development.
• Ability to lead and communicate orally, in written documents, and in formal presentations is required.
• Oracle Fusion Applications Certification.

• Build secure application extensions and configurations with role-based access control. 
• Focus on customer experience and build product features that delight users. 
• Passionate about exploring new technologies and methodologies.
• Knowledge of application server configurations, memory/connection management
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions. 
• Expertise at consuming REST services and dealing with error cases. 
• Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a cross-functional team environment.
• California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program. 
• A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Compensation & Benefits

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 

Salary Range estimated for Sr. Application Developer - Finance: $80,900.00 to $125,000.00 USD.
