Orange Almond Blueberries Recipe

With very few ingredients and little time, you can create a sophisticated blueberry dessert. Make sure to zest your orange before juicing. A drizzle of orange sauce and toasted sliced almonds top it off.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 packages (6 ounces) Driscoll's Blueberries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest

Instructions

  1. Divide berries between four dessert dishes.

    Combine juice and sugar in a medium saucepan.

    Simmer rapidly over medium-high heat until slightly syrupy and reduced by half.

    Remove from pan and add almond extract.

    Drizzle warm syrup over berries and sprinkle with almonds and orange zest.

    Serve immediately.
