Blackberry Glazed Wings with Dipping Sauce Recipe

Make this blackberry glaze to marinate your chicken then reserve a small amount for dipping with this juicy and unique twist on traditional wings. To simplify this recipe, you can cut chicken wings at the joint with poultry sheers or a sharp knife, or purchase drumettes instead of wings.

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 1 package (6 ounces) Driscoll's Blackberries
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cups lemon juice
  • 1/4 cups Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cups dark beer
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken wings in large mixing bowl.
  2. Combine berries, oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire, beer, garlic, salt and pepper in a blender; blend until smooth. Set aside 3/4 cup sauce for dipping.
  3. Pour remaining sauce over wings in a bowl; toss to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat over to 450°F. Line a baking sheet or roasting pan with foil and coat with nonstick spray. Shake excess marinade off wings and place on pan. (Discard marinade.)
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until cooked through and well browned.
  6. Serve warm or cool with reserved dipping sauce.
