“Work hard and don’t be afraid to get some dirt on your clothes or a little mud on your shoes!”
Francisco Bautista has been an independent farmer for Driscoll’s since 2005, but he literally grew up in the business. His father worked for Driscoll’s as a field worker – or “brasero” – for nearly ten years. Francisco’s father was proud of what he was able to accomplish for himself and for his family.
Naturally, when Francisco started his own farm, he planted Driscoll’s berries. He believes that Driscoll’s provides opportunities to grow and to be successful. Francisco farms both conventional and organic strawberries on his ranch.
He spends his leisure time with his wife and children, playing soccer and relaxing on warm afternoons at the local park. He practices in the field what he preaches at home – respect everyone and judge no one based solely on appearance. Work hard and don’t be afraid to get some dirt on your clothes or a little mud on your shoes!
