100% Certified Organic

All of our organic berries are 100% certified organic. They are certified by California Certified Organic Farmers and meet all of the requirements of the USDA National Organic Program (NOP).

USDA Organic

100% Certified Organic means just what it says, the product is completely organic with no non-organic ingredients.

The USDA National Organic Program defines organic as follows:

Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Before a product can be labeled “organic,” a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards.

Farmers must comply with all of the following standards: Land must be free of chemical inputs for at least 3 years prior to certification and farmers must exclude the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers or genetic engineering. Organic-certified operations must have an organic system plan and records that verify compliance with that plan. Operators are inspected annually; in addition there are random checks to assure standards are being met.

All of Driscoll’s Berries are non-GMO.

CCOF Certified

CCOF promotes and supports organic food and agriculture through a premier organic certification program. Founded in 1973 as a mutual assistance and certification organization for organic farmers, it was one the first organizations to perform organic certification in North America, and holds one of the most consumer-recognized, trusted seals in the organic marketplace. It is CCOF’s reputation for excellence and integrity that led us to choose them as our certifying agency. Driscoll’s has been a CCOF member since 1997.
