About the Opportunity

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The Finance Applications Manager will manage all technical aspects of software development projects providing technical leadership to internal and external development teams, serve on various project committees reporting projects’ progress and provide technical guidance to projects’ team members, managers, and internal customers. The Applications Manager will be responsible for all project deliverables from the technical standpoint to meet functional requirements: systems technical requirements, architecture, design, coding, and will help develop processes for and support testing and deployment and defect management.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build and deliver products that delight customers with scalable and maintainable code under the hood
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and effectively lead and manage team members.
  • Proven expertise at consuming REST services and dealing with error cases
  • Ensure consistent process and provide technical guidance during business requirements and specifications development phases
  • Provide oversight, assistance, and guidance to development of the application security architecture supporting the applications
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the development of coding standards, best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure quality through design reviews, code reviews and development of standards.
  • Serve as a mentor to team members by demonstrating alternate techniques, reviewing code, and strengthening skills
  • Accountable for quality and deliverables
  • Must be able to interact well with multiple priorities in an extremely dynamic environment, initiating necessary tasks and ensuring complete follow up
  • Research and recommend appropriate application development best practices, and tools
  • Develop new functionality on our existing software products and Provide development support and assistance for escalations and issues

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Requirements

  • B.S. or above degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience Strong software development skills in detailed application design, database design, object-oriented concepts, and Abstraction/Dependency Injection patterns
  • 3+ years of people Management experience including managing distributed and contract development teams.
  • Solid understanding in integrating with integration software such as OIC, MuleSoft, AWS API Management, Rest API, or equivalent middleware solutions.
  • Experience of developing and integrating complex application modules using multi-tier architecture, XML/JSON-based web services and application development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio Code and MySQL Workbench
  • Experience of Implementing web-based user interfaces using React, .NET, MVC architectural patterns, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Nodejs, Material design, Typescript and JavaScript
  • Strong experience in relational database design, SQL queries, and NoSQL
  • Strong knowledge of PySpark, Athena, Data Lake, AWS Glue Job and other Data processing technologies
  • Strong demonstrable development expertise in one or more of the following technologies:  version control and build systems; Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); Distributed application architecture; SQL Server/MySQL RDBMS/PL SQL, SQL *Plus, and NoSQL; Unit testing, and n-tiered development projects
  • Capability and willingness to participate in software development/coding process on all levels if necessary – from simple development tasks to complex core framework development
  • Ability to lead and communicate orally, in written documents, and in formal presentations is required
  • Strong development experience using agile and hybrid development methodology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Leadership Competencies

  • Oracle Fusion Applications Certification
  • Advanced Experience in Oracle Fusion Applications with Specialization in Finance Modules: AP, AR, GL, Fixed Asset, Cash Management and Procurement.
  • Agile Applications Development Framework
  • Build secure web applications with user authentication and role-based access control
  • Focus on customer experience and build product features that delight users
  • Passionate about exploring new technologies
  • Knowledge of application server configurations, memory/connection management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions

  • A California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program are also required.

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 

Salary Range estimated for Manager II, Application Development $106,700 - $162,800.
