About the Opportunity

The Manager, International Tax will manage the U.S. headquarter company’s international tax compliance and support tax compliance for the company’s foreign operations. Reporting to the Sr. Director, International Tax, this role will leverage core technical and quantitative skills while developing in qualitative and strategic capabilities. The preferred candidate will possess relevant experience and an appropriate technical background, as well as eagerness to learn and develop with the company’s growing Tax function.

Responsibilities

•    Oversee and manage US Federal international tax compliance including preparation of Forms 5471, 8858, etc.
•    Leverage deep understanding of TCJA provisions to evolve internal processes for calculating GILTI, FDII, BEAT, etc.
•    Manage external tax service providers efficiently to meet compliance obligations, optimizing balance between internal and external resourcing
•    Support tax compliance with respect to foreign operations
•    Support international aspects of the tax provision process
•    Support Transfer Pricing documentation processes including preparation of Master File, Local Files, CbCR, 6662 documentation, etc.
•    Contribute to Driscoll’s readiness and response to BEPS Pillar 2.
•    Support various nonrecurring projects and initiatives
•    Represent the Driscoll’s Tax team in an ethical and professional manner in all interactions with colleagues, growers, suppliers, customers and the business community at-large

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate possesses broad experience in U.S. Federal and international tax compliance, international tax principles, and GAAP rules around accounting for income taxes. 

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
•    6+ years of relevant experience 
•    Technical background that includes U.S. international tax compliance, TCJA and Subpart F mechanics, and foreign tax credit.
•    A strong academic foundation that includes a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent discipline    
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, developing environment with excellent organizational skills and thorough attention to detail
•    Passion, humility, trustworthiness, and strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
•    Experience at a global consumer goods company 
•    CPA certification and/or Master’s degree in Taxation 
•    Exposure to Transfer Pricing and Tax Provision concepts, processes and mechanics
•    Intellectual curiosity and a desire to grow practical, qualitative international tax capabilities

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors. 

Salary Range estimated for Manager, International Tax: $120,000 - $152,000
